Community prayer – Belgium South

We reached the fourth day with the directors in formation at the Generalate in Rome. Today, prayer and reflection were led by the delegation of the Arlep district. After that, throughout the morning, M. Jean Chapuis, from the District of France, presented ‘Pastoral action in schools: A plan for school justice’. The headmasters had a personal experience of the injustice that many people, because of their origins, choices and decisions, are forced to live with.

Feedback – Introduction to the PEJ

The Education for Justice Project revisits pastoral animation in our schools to spiritually form young people in a pedagogy of fraternity and accompaniment.
We are invited to discuss pastoral care in our schools.
“We believe that another world is possible and that education is an essential force in building it.” (Point 12 of the Declaration on the Lasallian Educational Mission)
An exercise in justice for 20 people with Jean Chapuis.

At the end of the morning and after the interesting talk led by Jean, there was an intimate and emotional moment with thanks to Jean Chapuis for his work in the formation of Assedil directors over the last few years. After a long working life, Jean is retiring, but he will not give up his links with La Salle, where he leaves many friends in the Mission.

How do the projects of solidarity in a Lasallian centre give meaning to the educational work?
