ASSEDIL Council Meeting: Evaluation of the Directors’ Formation and Preparation for the Next Congress

This Saturday, a new meeting of the ASSEDIL Council took place, bringing together its members for a day of work marked by appreciation, the welcome of a new member, and preparations for upcoming projects.

The meeting began with a special moment of recognition for Tomeu Martorell, who was thanked for his many years of collaboration and dedication to the ASSEDIL Council as the representative of the RELEM team. His commitment, availability, and valuable contribution to the association, as well as his involvement in the various initiatives carried out over the years, were warmly acknowledged.

The Council then welcomed Mourad Barsoum, who joins as the new representative of the RELEM Team on the ASSEDIL Council. His appointment provides a further opportunity to strengthen cooperation and joint work between the Lasallian RELEM Team and ASSEDIL.

One of the main items on the agenda was the evaluation of the Directors’ Formation Programme, recently held in Rome. Overall, the feedback was very positive, highlighting the value of the training experience, the exchange of experiences, and the opportunity for directors from different Lasallian contexts to share reflections and learning.

Finally, the Council began preparations for the next ASSEDIL Congress, which will take place from 21 to 24 April 2026. The North Belgium team is already working on the initial organisational arrangements to make this gathering possible. The Congress will provide another opportunity to share experiences, reflect together, and continue strengthening the network of Lasallian school leaders.

Once again, the meeting reaffirmed ASSEDIL’s commitment to the formation, collaboration, and support of leadership teams in Lasallian educational institutions across Europe and Middle East
