He joined the Brothers at De La Salle – Strebersdorf/Vienna as a student and started there as a teacher and educator in 1980. In 1981 he moved to De La Salle Fünfhaus/Vienna and taught mathematics, art and computer science. In 2001 he became director and head of the house. In 2009 he was a founding member of the Lasallian Academy of Central Europe (LAACCE) and a member of the administrative board of LAACCE. Since 2012 he is a member of the ASSEDIL council of administration. In 2020 he retired as director and teacher. He is webmaster of lasalle-assediI.org, lasalle-ce.org and Iacce.net.
He is a passionate mountaineer, climber, ski tourer and member of the Austrian Mountain Rescue.
