Community prayer – Belgium North

The Directors of the Belgium North Delegation animated the morning’s reflection and prayer with a video showing us the injustices that reign in the world just because of your place of birth, origin or family environment.

The first session of the morning was animated by the Directors of ARLEP (Spain and Portugal), presenting the pedagogical innovation NCA which has been in force in the La Salle centres since 2020. This approach has made it possible to provide a creative response to the needs of 21st century pupils, in terms of working on skills.

We continue with the presentation of NCA of the Arlep District to the directors participating in the Assedil training.
Many questions arose during the group work at the tables. There, the collaboration of the rest of the Arlep directors has helped to understand this new way of dealing with education.
The two speakers, Sandra Espadas from La Salle Alaior (Menorca) and Ángela Mozo from La Salle Lourdes (Valladolid) gave a wonderful presentation based on their absolute belief in the methodological approach of NCA. (New Learning Context)

The reality of Young Lasallians in the Region

Mr. Mourad Barsoum, from the Young Lasallians and Volunteers office, presented to the directors the reality of Young Lasallians in the Region, as well as the different activities prepared for university students from our educational establishments who wish to experience a short summer project. With “Fraternity in action”, various activities have been offered for the last two years in Egypt (Badadeya), Belgium (Molenbeck), Spain (Melilla) and Italy (Scampia).

Mr. Gabriel ANDREI

Under the title “Characteristics of a Lasallian work: reflections and perspectives” Mr. Gabriel ANDREI, treasurer of ASSEDIL, but also director of a Lasallian centre near Paris, presented this interesting vision of those aspects which can define an educational establishment as Lasallian, taking into account the social circumstances of each environment.
