his afternoon, the 26th ASSEDIL Congress officially opened in the heart of Stella Maris College with a spirit of unity and purpose. Following a reflective opening prayer led by ASSEDIL, we were welcomed by Brother Ben Hanlon, Visitor of the IGBM District, and Mrs. Marta Martínez, President of ASSEDIL, who both set the tone for the days ahead with messages of hope, mission, and shared vision. Mr. Stephen Cachia provided a detailed orientation, guiding participants through the program and practical aspects of our time together. A heartfelt presentation of the IGBM District gave us insight into the dynamic Lasallian presence here in Malta. Brother Santiago Rodriguez Mancini delivered a moving Opening Address, reminding us that 2025 is the Year of Lasallian Spirituality—a moment to deepen our spiritual leadership and commitment. The evening concluded with the ASSEDIL General Assembly and a festive gala dinner, rich in Lasallian hospitality. What a beautiful start!
