The second day of the 27th ASSEDIL Congress focused on the Gospel Perspective of the theme All is Connected. Through prayer, welcome, and the keynote delivered by Mrs Colette Allix, participants were invited to reflect on the Gospel narrative of interconnectedness, egalitarianism, and stewardship for the common good. The message resonated strongly with the Lasallian call to educate with faith, justice, and responsibility. The morning continued with retreat style sessions in MEL Network groups, allowing participants to engage more deeply in reflection and dialogue through their language networks. It was a morning that combined thought, prayer, and conversation in a way that grounded the Congress theme in both spirituality and mission.
The afternoon offered participants the opportunity to experience the beauty and heritage of Ulm. Following the official group photo and lunch, the Congress moved into a cultural dimension with a welcome reception hosted by the Mayor of Ulm, a guided visit through the old town, and a tour of the Ulm Minster. These moments added another rich layer to the Congress experience. Encountering the local community, history, and culture helped participants appreciate that formation also happens through shared experiences, hospitality, and place. In every way, the day reflected the truth that all is connected.
